I love metroid

Being a fan of the Metroid Prime series I had to hear this.
It's very good, Much better then the actual theme of that crashed frigate.
Its got a slightly different feel then the original. It sounds more street like, but I definitely here the wondrous rhythms of metroid in this.
The ending - was it suppose to give a sudden shift in feeling like a fade to black moment of doom type thing? It seems like it

Kloudtana responds:

I'm not exactly sure what i was going for, at the end, honestly. I just love making crazy noises and making them fit into songs

Thanks a lot for your review :D

I'd like to be able to make music like this

I wish my music sounded more like this. Its robotic yet has a cosmic kinda feel at the same time.
I don't that this is video game music, it sounds more like techno to me.
You didn't happen to make this in FL Studio did you?

EPSSounds responds:

haha, I was thinking it could be for like a racing or chase scene in a game xD
But yea this is all in FL Studio, I don't buy any stuff I just use the basics of what FL 10 gives. My arp and pad sounds are 3xOsc's and my bass is a SimSynth. Kicks Hats and Snare are just EQ tweeked but they are basically what it gives you when you first start up FL Studio. :)

Thanks for the comment ^_^

"thinks" ~hmmmm...techno~

Hmm... its pretty good

First of all this belongs in a game, Background music to an adventure game of sorts thats what I think.
the barbaric sounding thuds give it, A tension the suggests a journey.
You know It sounds music from a Zelda game now that I think about it.

Nicely done

Your good at sound effects
How did you do that bit at 00:23
It sounds 95% Real

TomStheVoice responds:

Thanks! I actually mixed two sounds. One of me with a rough grunt at the beginning. The second of me making the bear roar that follows through.

Clever and well done

If your as good an actor as a voice actor, you should be on SNL.
Your robot voice is good.
I have a challenge for you...
can you talk like the emperor from star wars? I mean EXACTLY like him. I can

Kpheeyat responds:

Challenge accepted.

Its very jolly and catchy... cool

I usually don't like giving hip hop a listen but I just heard this while in the audio portal and instantly liked it. Its Upbeat and snazzy, if I come across more hip hop in the future I'd probably like stuff like this.
The use of the voices as rhythm was brilliantly done, that is in general a rare quality I look for in music.

shaggyhaired responds:

Always glad to hear that.

Cool

Very Tense and filled with vigor. Would be great in a game as boss music.
It would have been a better idea to call this a video game song I think.
The rhythm has got a warping, evil sounding flux to it, which is good.
Right towards the end you kind of lost me. I think it would have been a way better Idea to make it loop but thats me, its your song.

MadMath responds:

Yeah you are right, now that you say so, I realize it definitely sounds like a video game music... I'm gonna make an edit and change the category.
About the end... It was the best part for me, but I can understand it's a bit different than the rest.

Thanks for the review.
I'll leave it as a song, but if someone wanna use it as a "boss music" for example (you gave me the idea :D, and I'd love to !), I can make it as a loop.

This site is so swell I'll give this site all my sanity... whatever is left of it that is...
