Gonna be honest

This sounds closer to dubstep then industrial if you ask me.
Many rhythms are out place, based on this I'm going to assume you "rearranged" them randomly with little thought on sound outcome. Be careful when attempting to take something apart and reconstructing it.
Although it is very random, perhaps it could be used as a menu theme to a robotic puzzle game of sorts.
Very few but some bits of this are good. If you did just randomly put it together, please put in more effort next time, otherwise you can expect to get a low score,
since this was apparently zerobombed, I'l try to correct that for you.

pretty good

You have a fair rhythm, but the note pitch and tone of the notes are off a tad.
I like your use of the piano, I think its clever. About half way through it just turns into a game boy song though, not that there's anything wrong with that I just think its a little random. You have an interesting way to capture the sounds together, I like it.

Raymoclaus responds:

Thanks, but I don't see how the note pitch is off. Yes, there is nothing wrong with a gameboy song, and nothing wrong with being random either.

hmmm...

The notes are very vibrant. However I'm feeling different moods to the song that oppose each other. Its like there are two forces to this song one of light and one of shadow. Most of the time they'll twist beautifully together. But at times they press away. This has clouded my ability to determine the real mood of the song.
The ambient tone in background is beautiful, but it has very little shift. If it had more perhaps it would hide the rhythmic tone shifts. The ending is the most confusing part because it sound good and bad at the same time. I wonder how you manage to get it to sound like such.

You sampled Requiem for a Dream?

I just find that odd...
Evidently, I think you could go crazy with the percussion of you chose to, if done right that could add to it. Its repetitive, I recommend using the louder chorus to help with that in some areas.
I'm kinda 50:50 on adding glitch music would be good for this. The intro is kinda long, I think you should shorten it a bit around the repeating chorus.

This makes me think of metroid

I could really see this in the metroid prime series. I think this would go good as the background music in metroid prime 2 in the sky temple just before you fight the Emperor Ing (Final Boss... well... sort of).

Some bits of it remind me of bits of my own work, although that's not to say they are very similar - I think that most of my music is very different. By the way did you make this in FL Studio?

The sound makes me think of evil insect creatures, it sounds like a fusion of electronic and medieval music to me - that's probably just me.

I know how trying to use the notes to make it sound creepy but, they sound a tad off, although I could believe this is the closest you could get them to sounding right.
This deserves an 8

DENT-de-lion responds:

Evil insect creatures playing electronic medieval music - now that's a cool image! Thanks for the review! No, I don't use FL Studio (even though that seems to be what everyone uses). I use Jazz++ Midi Sequencer to write my songs, and then I add soundfonts and FX through Synthfont. About the notes being a tad off, at 2:29-2:30 and that whole build-up, it was pretty rushed. I just wrote that part yesterday and fine-tuned it a little today before deciding I had to upload this version to Newgrounds. Thanks for pointing that out, it needs to be fixed!

This is very creative...

I find it hard to believe the techno-ish sounds were either your trombone or your voice. I also Find It hard to call this industrial. If you can't play anything else may I suggest getting a music DAW (Digital Audio Workstation). FL Studio is the most common but its kinda expensive.

Gonna be honest the electronic sounds are off, although given you apparently had little to work with I can understand why. If you could (and would) do much to improve it. For starters keep the voice and the percussion, you've got something there.

Nice!

Very snazzy but with a hint of darkness, I like that. The snyths in some regions seem slightly off pitch though. Other than that its good enough to get a 9

Bassmeisters responds:

I'm glad you'd like it! ;) thanks for the 9 ! A hint of darkness is always good!

Cheers mate!

Very digital

When it starts it makes me think of a phone call to be honest with you. I assume you were trying to make glitch sound fit into it, if you were you didn't do half bad a job. But the sounds are a little repetitive. The low snyth is almost perfect, I just think its kinda quiet, increasing its volume might make the song have more variety.

Now, I think you could remake this into a trance song.
High upbeat trance would go perfect into this I think.
but its your song, you like it 8-bit - keep it that way.

By the way - I'm not apart of the RRC, just to let you know...

Croire responds:

Thank you so very much for te critique! I'll make sure to work on the low synth levels!!!

Its good.

Now where in a game would it go? hmmm....
Probably the background music to traveling through a futuristic city. But where in the it exactly I'm not quite certain.

Very relative and kinda evil. It make me think of one of Eggman's bases in the earlier sonic games.

What plugins in FL Studio did you use? I have FL 10 as well and I think the sounds I could use to add something new to my work. (Sound wise)
It won't do me much help if used one of the plugins you have to buy because I have none of them...

RainOfTheRelentless responds:

Sytrus and Harmless are really good, but I believe Samplers are the best for using sounds if you're a beginner.

Why does the middle sound like Chubaka?

Seriously, that's just too random.

This song is very repetitive, The low grainy (it sounds grainy anyway) sound should be made longer in some spots. A wider range of sound should be added to it, be careful not to go over board with it though if your going to do that.

This site is so swell I'll give this site all my sanity... whatever is left of it that is...
